Please refer to the guidelines below for guidance and recommendations. Please refer to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.stjohns.k12.fl.us\/health\/illness\/\"><b>Illness and Prevention Guidelines<\/b><\/a> to help determine when to keep your child home.<\/p><p><b>Medications at School<\/b><\/p><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www-lpa.stjohns.k12.fl.us\/clinic\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/19\/2021\/08\/Medication-Policy-20-21.pdf\"><b>St. Johns County School District Medication Policy<\/b><\/a><\/p><p>All prescription medication must be signed into the clinic by a parent\/guardian. Students can only carry inhalers, emergency epinephrine, pancreatic enzymes and emergency Glucagon <b><i>with physician authorization<\/i><\/b><b>. <\/b>Students found in possession of medications without the proper paperwork on file will be subject to disciplinary actions as noted in the Student Code of Conduct.<\/p><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www-lpa.stjohns.k12.fl.us\/clinic\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/19\/2021\/08\/Self-Carry-Form.pdf\"><b>OTC Self Carry Form<\/b><\/a><\/p><p>Middle School students may carry non-prescription medication if this form is filled out by both the parent and student. <b>This form must be filed with the school nurse. <\/b>Medication must be kept in its original bottle.<\/p><p><a
